John Kerry is an ignorant bufoon, I know, but he was very close to becoming our president. As he pondered his reign, Kerry seemed to be quite unaware of the foreign policy skills of John McCain (the same skills that are being touted right now).

PS: It’s worth noting that this quote is from May of 2004, more than a year into the war in Iraq.

So McCain’s foreign policy expertise is so well known that no adviser to a potential new president would suggest McCain for a diplomatic post.  Hmmm.  I think the point here is that McCain’s experience is being deliberately exaggerated for the purposes of his failing campaign.  In other words, John McCain’s claims to competence are nothing more than bullsh*t.
