Pro-Illegals Pelosi Blocking Anti-Illegal Immigration Bill

ALERT: We have a chance RIGHT NOW to put a STOP to illegal immigration, AND to force the 20 million illegal aliens in this country to GO HOME!

Demand Congress Support the SAVE Act:

Rep. Heath Shuler (D-NC) last year introduced H.R. 4088, the “Secure America through Verification and Enforcement” (SAVE) Act. A bipartisan group of over 150 lawmakers has come together to support this commonsense immigration legislation. (A companion bill, S. 2368, was introduced in the Senate.)

But now, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) and her pro-illegal immigration cohorts are trying to railroad this bill, and keep it from even being voted on by the House of Representatives! THIS CANNOT BE ALLOWED TO HAPPEN! We need to make these Congressmen “see the light” — which means we need to make them FEEL THE HEAT! And we’ve got a GREAT way to do that!

Contact EVERY SINGLE U.S. REPRESENTATIVE NOW, demanding that they support bringing the SAVE Act to the floor for a vote!

Rep. Shuler’s SAVE Act is 3-part plan to drastically reduce illegal immigration — a strict emphasis on border security, employer verification, and interior enforcement. It addresses border security by increasing manpower and making needed technological and infrastructure improvements on America’s northern and southern borders, including 8,000 new Border Patrol Agents and provides the infrastructure they need to be effective.

It also expands the “E-Verify” program to provide all employers with the tools they need to ensure that their employees are here legally. The E-Verify program is a simple, effective, and free program that allows employers to efficiently and quickly ensure that the people they hire are legally allowed to work in the U.S. The program will be phased-in over four years, beginning with the federal government, federal contractors, and employers with over 250 employees. Smaller businesses would begin using the system in a graduated manner.

The SAVE Act also provides the tools, resources and infrastructure necessary to enforce existing federal laws and penalize offenders. It increases the investigative abilities of Immigration and Customs Enforcement with more agents and more training. Additionally, it provides assistance for state and local law enforcement.

That must be why Pelosi and her cronies are doing everything they can to STOP this bill — but we now have a chance to go around her and get this bill directly to a floor vote!

The way that’s done is called a “discharge petition,” which requires 218 signatures to force a vote. As of right now, the petition has received 188 signatures. While about 75 more Republicans have signed the petition than joined as cosponsors, only 10 of the 49 Democrat cosponsors have signed the petition, which means two things: First, some of them want to SAY they are tough on immigration without ever actually having to cast a tough vote; and second, even many of the anti-illegal immigration Democrats are hesitant to go against the Democrat party’s pro-amnesty leadership.

That means YOU AND I have to take action now: We need to make these Congressmen “see the light” — which means we need to make them FEEL THE HEAT! And we’ve got a GREAT way to do that!

Send YOUR blast faxes to EVERY SINGLE U.S. REPRESENTATIVE NOW, demanding that they support bringing the SAVE Act to the floor for a vote:

TAKE ACTION: Finally, Democrats and Republicans are joining together, putting politics aside and supporting a commonsense bill that is for the good of America. As Rep. P.S.: The conservative magazine Human Events has reported a new twist to this story: “Congressman Shuler, addressing a Rotary Club meeting last week, accused Senator John McCain of calling House Republicans and asking them not to sign the discharge petition. News reports say that McCain’s office denies those accusations, but Senator McCain’s office did not return calls for additional comment.”

So now we’re fighting against the GOP “presumptive nominee” as well! We need to take action NOW!
