The decaying, dying Republican Party
Rush Limbaugh’s Operation Chaos has done wonders in accelerating the unraveling of the Democrat Party. We watch with pleasure the squirming, failing Mrs. Bill Clinton as all Americans regardless of political preference eagerly anticipate an America free of Clinton Inc. Obama Hussein is surprisingly inept, incompetent, and immoral. He is weak. He is a disaster waiting to happen as an American President. Yes, it’s wonderful to see the Democrats destroy themselves… but the Republicans are destroying themselves too.
Some of us foolishly ran to support GW Bush as the best chance to save us from Al Gore. We all breathed a sigh of relief when Bush relegated Gore to eating potato chips while watching television… but Bush turned out to be a nightmare. He didn’t care about the people who helped him win election. He became more concerned about the rights of Mexican citizens than he was of American citizens. His bizarre determination to concoct a war in Iraq still bewilders many Republicans. Bush has betrayed Conservatives time and time again. From the Harriet Miers debacle to his cave-in to the Global Warming Fraud, Bush has shown that he has no backbone, no stones, and no morals. He refuses to defend our nation from foreign invasion. He has created a huge expansion of a government that has long oppressed the people. Sure, he won token tax cuts for us all, but those who benefited the most from them (the poor) will never acknowledge that help. In fact, Bush hurt us by accepting these tax cuts as temporary. As soon as they expire, the Democrats will have a defacto tax increase and they will say that it’s all because of the Republicans: and they will be right.
Bush’s personal monstrosity, The Department of Homeland Security, has done nothing to secure our nation, while violating our Constitutional rights to the point that most people don’t seem to think we have any rights anymore.
Bush is not the only problem. We have had self-serving politicians in Washington such as Lindsey Graham and John McCain who have fought hard to make sure Republicans are known only as Democrats with a different name. Remember the weenie Trent Lott? The Republican leadership has done nothing but cave into the Democrats’ every whim. Opportunity after opportunity has come and gone, but the Republican Party - unwilling to fight - has bent over and grabbed its ankles for so long, I don’t think it can ever be righted.
The 2006 election brought a resounding message to Republican politicians: No longer will Conservative votes be taken for granted. Frustrated, Conservatives have stood on the sidelines wishing that there was hope for 2008. We had some good candidates this year, but the Republicans rolled over and played dead while the Democrats selected our nominee: John McCain, traitor of traitors. A weak, pathetic player who has had decades to help fix Washington, but he’s only broken it further during his time entrenched in office.
Republicans have nothing to get excited about. That’s why they’ve been so enthusiastic around Rush Limbaugh’s Operation Chaos. In that, they can have fun. They have a strong leader. They have a purpose: destroy the Democrat Party. All the while, the Republican Party is also headed for oblivion. I think we should all vote Democrat. The Republican meatheads that are supposed to have learned lessons in 2006 have forgotten them. Nothing good will ever materialize from the Republican Party until all their politicians are sitting on their a$$es at home wondering why.
