Regarding gas prices, Democrats and McCain denying the obvious
Democrats and their hand-picked Republican nominee are singing the chorus of oil company greed. While I am sure that a certain amount of oil company time is used to manipulate prices to an artificially high level, I was so happy to see one oil company executive shell back at communist Maxine Waters this week. Finally someone had enough gonads to tell the freaking Congress that the problem is Congress, not the oil companies.
Folks, the USA has oil out the wazoo right under our ground. Why is it underground and not in your car? Itś that way because Congress has made it so hideously complicated and expensive to get the oil that it’s literally impossible to do so.
Then there’s that matter of profits. The oppressive, confiscatory Federal Government makes more money off of oil than the oil companies do. If Democrats and John McCain were serious about addressing the issue of gasoline prices, they’d get the Government out of the energy industry. That means no regulations, no taxation, no interference. The government could immediately lower the cost of a gallon of gas by $.40. But will they? NO! The exact same people who are accusing the oil companies of unrestrained greed are the ones who are the most blatantly and outrageously greedy themselves!
So how did Maxine Waters respond? She responded to that man by telling him that if the situation doesn’t improve she was going to have the government take over his business. Yeah, Democrats are on the side of little people. The executive in that exchange retorted with a quip about Hugo Chavez. Way to go.
