Maybe it’s because he’s already been elected to 7 terms as a US Senator. Maybe it’s because the people in Alaska are just as immoral and unprincipled as the people in the lower 48.  Maybe it’s because he’s so used to people forgetting about his criminal activity that he’s actually planning on being elected again.

Ted Stevens is a classic example of all that has gone so terribly wrong in American government.
