I work in construction and I see the decimation caused by illegal immigrants every day. Trades destroyed and no longer can a man make enough money to support a family in this line of work in almost all trades. How I think the illegal aliens pushed the whole mess over the cliff was they enabled the building to go on at a pace that was disproportionate to the market. By “doing jobs that American won’t do” ha …there were not enough Americans to ramp up to that level of building that quickly and then here were all these guys and their families needing housing too. So the problem fed on itself. As a contractor who did the work too I never got to partake in the ‘Boom’ I improved my quality of life and gained valuable experience but now the work is so slow and the competition with all the illegal alien rat jobbers that I may be going out of business. America will reap what we have sown with this debacle and I hope everyone enjoyed the cheap labor. Now what do we do if there is a depression, stand in soup lines with the illegal aliens and congratulate them on attaining the American dream?
I watched the California economy start going in the toilet in the 90’s. Nobody wanted to listen when it was said that the housing market would fall, or that illegal aliens were destroying our way of life, Now those same people who wouldn’t listen to common sense, the liberals, are trying to find somebody else to blame for their complete ineptitude. Let the banks and companies fail, give the loans only to AMERICAN CITIZENS that are trying to start a business, buy a house, go to school, etc. Round up and deport every Illegal Alien immediately!! If we aren’t paying their welfare, schooling, medical, and every other thing so they can live well while actual citizens can’t afford to live, we will save BILLIONS in tax dollars. I’m willing to bet the jobs Americans won’t do can be filled by Americans looking for work.
You nailed it, the paulson and wall street thugs did this and more to other occupations in the US. Now their business model, since the MBA types can’t run a business, is to have the government bail them out.
Now that’s conservative…..capitalism? 2008 will go down as the great turing point to an oppressive one world government.
