CRYBABY XP USER: “I can’t get to Facebook [WAA WAA]“
So. You ARE pathetic. Why do you want to use a computer without learning how the computer works? Why don’t you get a freakin’ clue before you go whining to people like me about it. You are disgusting.
First, your problem is NOT that you can’t get on Facebook (do you know what kind of freaks use Facebook?): your problem is that you have no network access. You would have known this if you bothered to check to see if your email works or not, but NO! You have to get so overwhelmed about being shut out of Facebook that you can’t even think about getting more helpful information.
Second, you didn’t tell me that you’ve been downloading WAREZ and have a bazillian instances of malware, spyware, and viruses.
Finally, you didn’t try to see if you could access resources on your LAN. Your IP, NetBIOS, etc. are all hosed. You don’t care because you can’t get on Facebook and you need someone to fix your computer for you because you’re too freaking stupid to work on it yourself.
SOLUTION: You need to reset your networking on Windows XP. The telltale sign is that you have recently had infections of malicious code (as reflected in your log files) which, (judging from your internet history) probably resulted from your incessant desire to download software from nebulous sources. Shortly after your malware detection cleaned your system, you were left with a system that could no longer get onto any network.
What you need to do is open a command prompt and type in:
netsh winsock reset catalog
Then hit enter. This will fix your problem.
In cases where only your IP is messed up (you don’t have to rebuild all your networking), you can try resetting IP only by typing:
netsh int ip reset c:\logfile.txt
YOU’RE WELCOME.
