“Is it possible that the Senate vote last week to build that 700-mile fence on the border was really nothing more than a sham? A cruel joke on the American people?” That’s the beginning of an e-mail from the American Conservative Union.

Yes, in fact this cruel joke is - though not very funny - reality.  Bush let everyone think that the bill he signed last week was the Secure Fence Act.  Unfortunately, it was not.  In fact, the fence appears to be destined for a pocket veto by the Mexican Presidente Bushio.
