Amnesty Aftermath: Despair
So the amnesty thing is on hold for a while. That’s a great victory. But what now? We still have illegal aliens pouring across the border. They are driving drunk and killing legal citizens. They are involved in a wide array of other crime and nothing is being done about it.
Some of the hopelessly optimistic think we can turn this around on our own, but I don’t think so. Although the failure of amnesty was a big step forward, every day we take several steps back. Let’s face it: Conservatives are not willing to to take the action necessary to change things. I’m sorry, but even if we fight against every evil committed by illegal aliens (criminals), the victories are few and far in between.
One thing we can all agree on is that our government will do nothing to enforce the law and to protect our citizens. Other than that, nothing remains except despair.
