Amnesty is BACK on Senate Floor!

Amnesty is back with a vengeance. All this secret planning and conniving trying to figure out how to force this scheme upon the American people. I am sick of this! I am sick of Republicans! Also, I am just plain FED UP with people who don’t care!

Unfortunately, the Grassfire fax service costs $$$, so that option is not viable for many.

Here’s the message I received last night from Grassfire.

Bush-Kennedy Amnesty Bill Update

To: Bruce Tyson

Bruce,

Last night, yet another back-room meeting resulted in the “amendments for amnesty” deal I told you about a few days ago. That means the Bush-Kennedy Amnesty bill is back and steamrolling toward passage in the Senate — unless grassroots citizens once again “roar” in opposition.

And don’t buy for a moment the President’s lame attempt to throw money at the problem. The bill’s Amnesty provisions are unrelated to any amount of money for border security. Amnesty comes first, amnesty comes immediately, amnesty comes at no cost to the illegal and amnesty is irrevocable!

We can stop this bill again — but we must take immediate action on two specific fronts.

+ + Action Item #1 — Calls and Faxes to Key Senators Who Voted “No” On Cloture urging them to Resist the Amnesty push.

Talking Points:

1. You are disappointed that the Senate is reconsidering the amnesty bill.
2. A “yes” vote on cloture is a “yes” vote for amnesty.
3. Vote NO on cloture for the Bush-Kennedy Amnesty bill.

Your two senators:
Sen. Demint (202)224-6121
Sen. Graham (202) 224-5972

Mitch McConnell (R-KY) (202) 224-2541
Trent Lott (R-MS) (202) 224-6253
Jon Kyl (R-AZ) (202) 224-4521
Richard Burr (R-NC) (202) 224-3154
Sam Brownback (R-KS) (202) 224-6521
Saxby Chambliss (R-GA) (202) 224-3521
Norm Coleman (R-MN) (202) 224-5641
Kay Hutchison (R-TX) (202) 224-5922
Johnny Isakson (R-GA) (202) 224-3643
John Sununu (R-NH) (202) 224-2841
John Warner (R-VA) (202) 224-2023

Also, schedule faxes to these same senators and all 59 senators who did not support cloture last week.

Use our FaxFire system or fax them yourself (info provided here):

+ + Action Item #2 — We must let those who brokered the deal (including Bush) know that we will hold them personally responsible if this amnesty bill passes.

Right now, we are in final production of a new “Where’s The Fence?” spot that targets the dealmakers who are bringing this bill back. Trust me on this… no senator is going to want to see his face in this new ad!

We need funds immediately to finish production and begin distribution of this ad so it hits next week in the middle of the debate. Go here to donate:

Again — debate begins as soon as Monday. We must flood these senators again with faxes and phone calls — and we must send a message through the media that any senator who sells us out will be forever labeled an “amnesty senator.” We can win this fight AGAIN if grassroots citizens will make their voice heard!
