In a convoluted rambling, Pejman at RedState decries the people’s insensitivity towards mercenaries.  Somehow we should honor their service just as we honor our military member’s service. Sorry, the argument doesn’t fly.

First, the motivation for mercenaries is just the same as always: greed. The same bastards who will fight with us as Black Water, will fight against us if they get paid more. Speaking of getting paid more, the mercenaries as hired by the US Government get paid hundreds of times the rate of our Army soldiers, so I am content to say that the mercenary security contractors have already received their honor in the form of cash.

All Americans are justified in harboring nothing but the strongest contempt towards the mercenaries contracted by our government. They have no loyalty except to their income.  They would not be there if our corrupt government wasn’t willing to give them money from our pockets to enrich the unprincipled scum.  As far as the free market goes, sure. The free market is at work.  The only problem is that the free market has guidelines and limits that should be enforced. Otherwise, the free market would be governing things like trade and immigration to the extent our nation would be destroyed.  OOOPS!
