5 Columbia Farms managers arrested in Greenville, SC

Friday, June 27th, 2008

The Columbia Farms chicken plant on Rutherford Road, Greenville, South Carolina made another brief appearance in the news last week. Five managers at the plant were arrested for identity crimes. I don’t know if the news ever hit the internet, but if it did, it sure got squashed quickly (as most news stories about the illegal aliens employed at the plant usually do). Sorry I didn’t get to this news item sooner.

The only reason I know about it is because Russ Cassell on News Radio WORD featured the matter on air during the Russ and Lisa show.

Greenville police force woman to live

Friday, June 27th, 2008

I wonder why a person who clearly wanted to die can be forced to live by someone completely unrelated such as a Greenville police officer. The officer is cheered as a hero and now the woman is stuck in whatever circumstances that caused her to want to die.

South Carolina senators betray South Carolinians (again)

Saturday, June 21st, 2008

Ignoring the will of the people and the catastrophic effects of illegal aliens here in the state of South Carolina, corrupt “Good Ol’ Boy” politicians again gave the green light to employers of illegal aliens. At a time when surrounding states have signaled strong measures against the foreign invasion of criminal residents, South Carolina says “Y’all Come!”

From the article:

Senators Betray Voters, Provoke Anger

Senators Reject Immigration Bill Passed by House

Twenty-six senators, including 7 Republicans and nineteen Democrats voted to reject House Bill H3032, handing another victory to employers of illegal migrants.

Sen. Ralph Anderson was the only member of the Greenville County Legislative Delegation to vote against the measure. Anderson has opposition in both the Democratic primary and the General Election.

The vote was 26 to 20 in opposition to H3032. Unless a bill is passed this week, action on illegal migrants will not take place this year. Observers say another year delay in action by the South Carolina General Assembly will be near catastrophic for small businesses who are feeling the unfair competition of cheap labor in the building trade.

Those opposed to the House bill are opposed to the provision that requires use of E-verify to determine if an employee is in the US legally. The Chamber of Commerce and Farm Bureau Lobby insists that other, less effective means be allowed to determine the legality of employees. Critics say a bill with loopholes would be worse than no bill at all.

Since Georgia and several other states have adopted laws to protect their states from invasion by illegal migrants, illegal migrants have been coming to South Carolina in record numbers. In fact, the Palmetto State has had a greater increase in illegal migrants than any state in the union in recent years.

Republican Senators voting against H3032 were Glenn McConnell, Hugh Leatherman, Chauncey Gregory, John Knotts, Billy O’Dell and Luke Rankin.

With hope slim that a workable bill will be passed this year to head off an economic crisis in the state caused by the social cost of illegal migrants, some supporters of the House bill have set their sights on the defeat of incumbent senators in the upcoming elections.

Roan Garcia-Quintana has been operating a website at americanshavehadenough.org   to keep citizens informed about illegal migration.

Radio Talk Show Host Russ Cassell of the Russ and Lisa Show on WORD Radio at 1330 a.m. has recently announced that he is starting an organization dedicated to defeating incumbents in the South Carolina Senate in the upcoming elections.

Bruce’s peeps didn’t do very well yesterday :-(

Wednesday, June 11th, 2008

The people of South Carolina refused to stand up for their dignity as they pressed on solidly to keep incumbents entrenched at every level of Federal, State, County, and local government. This is exactly why we get the creeps like Lindsey Graham running around destroying our nation and our state: the people get exactly the quality of representation that they are willing to tolerate.

The only good news in yesterday’s primary is that Jonser (and liar extraordinaire) Gloria Haskins got her a$$ solidly kicked by challenger (and fellow Jonser) Wendy Nanney by a 62% - 32% margin. Kudos go out to the Jonser-cult district for being one of the few to vote the incumbent out.

DOWN and OUT for incumbent Jonser creep Gloria Haskins

Saturday, June 7th, 2008

A local RINO, Gloria Haskins is well known for her pro-illegal alien positions. She has worked feverishly to make sure that criminal residents in the state of South Carolina have plenty of legal loopholes and excuses so they don’t have to worry about being deported. In particular, Gloria Haskins seems thrilled to death with the hundreds of Tuberculosis-infected illegals who staff the Columbia Farms chicken plant off Rutherford Road.

Gloria Haskins is the wife of the late Tom Haskins who was also a RINO creep. In fact, the only reason Gloria Haskins got elected to fill her husband’s seat was the Joneser sympathy vote. I just heard on the radio that Bob Jones University has endorsed her candidacy (again). That endorsement carries enough weight for you all to know that (1) Gloria Haskins is not a politician who will work for the good of Greenville, and (2) that Bob Jones University is wholeheartedly against enforcement of American immigration law.

Just in case that endorsement is not enough, Gloria Haskins was an ardent McCain supporter (and probably still is) up to the time McCain fired her dear little precious Jonser sun for being an incompetent boob (You can read about that HERE).

So, if you are in this bitch’s district, be sure to vote against her in the upcoming primary. I know what you’re saying. You’re saying “The only opponent to anti-America, anti-South Carolina, anti-decency candidate Gloria Haskins is another joneser, Wendy Nanney.” Yeah, that really sucks, but at least Wendy Nanney claims that she will be tough on illegal aliens in the state. Do you believe that? No. I don’t believe it. Jonesers are one of the most disgusting, diabolical set of low-life, holier-than-thou creeps known to humanity, so we won’t know what Nanney would do until she gets elected.

In accordance with Russ Cassell’s “Operation: We’ve Had Enough,” I am forced to encourage you all to vote against known wretch and infidel Gloria Haskins this month in the RINO primary.

Gloria Haskins facing test from Wendy Nanney for renomination

By Dan Hoover • STAFF WRITER • April 29, 2008

Immigration and effectiveness may be the dominant issues in the House District 22 Republican primary, but they could be overshadowed by an array of personal ties and interrelationships.

And the outcome may hinge on which candidate, Rep. Gloria Haskins or challenger Wendy Nanney, captures most of the votes of the district’s dominant element, the Bob Jones University community.

Try this:

Haskins’ late husband, state Rep. Terry Haskins, was a BJU graduate; Gloria Haskins attended the school; Nanney is a BJU graduate and her father, County Councilman Bob Taylor, is a dean there. Nanney’s husband, Register of Deeds Tim Nanney is also a BJU alum. Through Bob Jones III, the school’s chancellor, BJU participated in development of a Wade Hampton Boulevard memorial to Terry Haskins.

Gloria Haskins’ oldest son, Bryan, is challenging Taylor’s bid for another term on council.

Nothing personal, Haskins and Nanney say, just politics.

For Haskins, her first test since winning her late husband’s seat in 2000, is shaping up as a tough one. With no Democrat having filed in the strongly Republican district, the primary probably will determine which one will hold the seat for the next two years.

Nanney is building her campaign around a tough stance on immigration, something she says Haskins has failed to do, and has raised questions about Haskins’ attentiveness to her legislative duties.

“She hasn’t gone far enough on immigration and her constituent service is probably a major (element) that is lacking. She’s not real responsive to the constituents. She’s not available to them. That’s been a major frustration with a lot of people,” Nanney said.

Haskins rejects the assertions, citing her co-sponsorship of the House GOP’s main immigration bill, support for denying GED diplomas to those who don’t take the test in English and opposing driving privileges for illegals.

Nanney criticized Haskins for missing a committee meeting on her own immigration bill. “I know that she was not in attendance. She needs to be there, dealing with it.”

Haskins said she had another committee meeting at the same time and dealt with amendments on the floor, adding that Nanney’s comment shows her inexperience. “She doesn’t know the process.”

As for how she handles her office, “I’ve never heard a negative comment, especially about constituent service,” Haskins said. “What I bring to the table is what I’ve done for this district.”

That includes, she said, the Lake Fairfield flood control project, working with neighborhoods to block development that threatened property values and generating bipartisan support for making BJU students eligible for state LIFE Scholarships.

Both women shrugged off any personal elements to the campaign.

“I didn’t run against Gloria for any personal reasons,” Nanney said. “Gloria and I were friends and I just felt we needed to be represented better. I can’t explain why Bryan ran against dad. That was their choice, their decision. It was a last-minute surprise to us.”

Haskins said her son’s Council District 22 primary challenge to Taylor was his decision, not retaliation on her part.

“It was his decision alone. As a mother … I hesitated to see him run (but) public service is something that our family has always been involved in, something my children have known since birth. My husband would be proud of our son,” Haskins said.

Both candidates are aware of the influence of the district’s BJU vote. “I don’t think people are going to vote according to our Bob Jones connections,” Nanney said. “It’s kind of an irrelevant point. It’s about who we are and what we intend to do in office.”

That said, she added, it’s true that winning the district without substantial support from the BJU community would be difficult because “it’s a huge part of the district. I’m not saying they’re irrelevant, just that people don’t necessarily vote based on how long you went to school there.”

Where most of Haskins’ first-quarter donations came from Columbia area political action committees, Nanney drew substantially from Greenville business interests.

Entering the campaign’s final weeks, Haskins reported available cash of $10,419 and Nanney, $16,865 as of March 31, a rare reversal of the incumbent’s usual financial edge.

The reports to the state Ethics Commission showed that Haskins raised $3,612 during the year’s first quarter for an election cycle total of $13,129. Nanney listed $16,550 for the quarter and $17,300 for the campaign. Haskins reported a $10,000 loan balance.

State law does not require legislative candidates to report the occupations of donors.

# Haskins’ donors for Jan. 1-March 31:

Dealers PAC of Columbia, $999; Realtors PAC and S.C. Bankers PAC, both of Columbia, and Progress Energy Employees’ Carolinas PAC of Raleigh, $500 each; S.C. # Nanney’s donors:

Brett Communications, Carpenter Investors, The Townes at Pelham, and Dan Griffith, sales, all of Greenville; John Kirtley of Tampa, Fla., and Joseph Stilwell of New York City, $1,000 each; Waypoint Properties, Southeastern Capital, Michael Miller, financial manager; Bob Taylor, County Council member and Nanney’s father; Billy Mitchell, retired; Don Hindman, production manager; Betty Poe, retired, all of Greenville; Dennis Jones of Simpsonville, retired, and Commercial Cleaning Solutions of Greer, $500 each; Walter Brashier and Bob Johnson, both of Greenville, $300 each;

Also, state Rep. Lewis Vaughn of Greer, John Yessa, financial manager, and Carl Boone, retired, all of Greenville, $250 each; Hamilton Co. of Taylors, Jon Peery of Travelers Rest, builder; and Kelly Jolley of Hilton Head, attorney, $200 each; Donnie Thompson of Greer, business owner; Cindy Costa of Charleston, Republican National Committee member; Bo Aughtry of Greenville, commercial property developer; and Bob Dowd of Taylors, retired, $150 each.

Greenville County School board to taxpayers: SCREW YOU, GREENVILLE!!

Tuesday, June 3rd, 2008

You disgusting little vermin voters, you! YOU were so trusting, so careless, so concerned about saving a little cash… you bought into the LIE of PROPERTY TAX RELIEF “Hook, line and sinker!” Well, your “Tax Relief” is once again being shoved up your a$$!

Greenville County Schools has decided once again to step outside of its authority to raise OUR taxes by another 6 mill, rather than 4 mill. Doggone!! Greenville County Schools continues to run out of control! BILLIONS of dollars have been wasted by this entity that has proficiency only in producing sexually-active rodents (sometimes called students) who have no morals, no principles, and have been indoctrinated to hate America… oh yeah, most of these vermin can’t read and almost all of them are stupid relative to products of Government-controlled schools in other states.

MAKES ME SICK.  As usual, the people of Greenville County will dutifully bend over and grab their ankles peacefully.

Greenville County Council AGAIN goes green (money green that is)

Tuesday, June 3rd, 2008

Keeping a longstanding tradition alive, Greenville County Council voted to screw the people of Greenville by approving massive high-density residential development on a road that (thanks to Greenville County Council) is already horrendously over used.

Greenville County Council approved at least 360 apartments just off Woodruff Road Tuesday over the objection of a raucous crowd of dozens that heckled council members throughout a contentious debate, approving 8-4 a project that developers say will accompany a list of road improvements in the notoriously congested area.

Opponents said the work isn’t near adequate because even minimal additions to Woodruff traffic exacerbates a nightmare.

Though not allowed to speak in the lengthy council session, citizens repeatedly shouted down council members who supported the project over the gavelling of Chairman Butch Kirven.

Kirven, Jim Burns, Cort Flint and Xanthene Norris opposed the apartment project. The rest of council voted in favor. After the approval, the crowd filed out, and some shouted “Hope your pockets are lined,” and “See you next election.”

This pretty much sums it up. County Council goes for the cash cow and (as usual) does not care about the well being of the citizens of Greenville County. See, right now people are angry and say that they will vote council out at election time. Unfortunately, Greenville County Council KNOWS that they will get re-elected by the same citizens who are wearing “KICK ME” signs on their backs. The attention span of voters is about 10 minutes.

Pretty soon the pathetic fools of Greenville County will be dutifully wasting their lives sitting idle in traffic on Woodruff Road while Council will be somewhere else investing the money they earned in bribes, kickback schemes, andby catering to lobbyists.

I’ve said it before: Developers should be compelled to finance an adequate expansion of surrounding infrastructure as part of any approval for development. The people of Greenville are forced to pay the cost for the profit-making enterprises of greedy developers.

Oh yeah… remember it was only supposed to be 360 residences?? Greenville County Council voluntarily upped this to 540 units… JUST TO RUB IT IN THE FACE OF THE CITIZENS COUNCIL IS SUPPOSED TO SERVE.

The zoning change opens the door to 540 units on roughly 27 acres at Rocky Creek and Bagwell roads one block off Woodruff

President Bush at Furman University, Greenville, SC

Sunday, June 1st, 2008

Yesterday was Furman University’s chance to shine in the national spotlight as El Presidenté himself came to town to speak to the crowd during graduation ceremonies. To the dismay of the ultra-liberal Furman faculty and to the deranged Bush-haters that crawled out of the woodwork to protest, El Presidenté’s visit was a dramatic success.Even the traffic situation in the area (which was predicted to be a nightmare) was better than expected. The weather was nice and security was tight, but the Traitor-in-Chief was given a very warm welcome and Furman University got a good chance to show off it’s excellence to the world.

From the article:

Controversy over Furman University’s commencement invitation to President Bush dissolved into an outpouring of civility and warmth Saturday night at Paladin Stadium.

In an 18-minute speech, Bush urged 650 Furman University graduates Saturday night to adopt “a culture of responsibility” toward civic life, their families and themselves.

“Through the toil of generations and the grace of God, our nation has been given much, and more and more Americans are recognizing our obligation to help those who have little,” he said.

“A culture of responsibility means contributing to our civic life,” Bush said. “I ask you to be citizens, not spectators, and help to build a nation of virtue and character.”

The April announcement of the invitation to Bush —the first sitting president to speak at Furman —sparked discord among some faculty members, university employees and students who expressed shame over his appearance in an April letter.

Furman President David Shi was admonished by professors for failing to consult with him. Thirty-one “conscientious objectors” were exempted from attending graduation.

But opponents also drew a heated response from some seniors who objected to the injection of an issue that might mar their day. Conservative groups and antiwar protesters added to the dim in the run-up to graduation.

With the exception of a silent protest by a scattering of graduates and faculty, Bush was a hit with the crowd.

When the flashing blue lights of the lead vehicles in Bush’s motorcade came into view at 7:10 p.m., most of the more than 9,000 guests erupted into foot-stomping, cheers and applause.

Bush’s entrance to the stadium at 7:37 p.m. brought a roar from most of the crowd that filled all but a few of the home side seats. Students joined in, many climbing onto their beige folding chairs, women kicking off their pumps, for a better view or to take pictures.

It was the final commencement address of Bush’s eight years in the White House and the visit could be his last as president to a state —”Bush Country in Republican circles — that made his political fortunes and those of his presidential father.

360 more residences on Woodruff Road? No Problem!!

Thursday, May 22nd, 2008

Already one of the worst traffic nightmares in the Upstate, Greenville County stands poised to approve another 360 residences at the intersection with Butler Road. People complain about the traffic, yet development on Woodruff Road continues its unrestrained acceleration. Why does the county do this to the people? Easy: MONEY. All our local government cares about here in Greenville is tax revenue. More development means more money: money that can be spent giving their cousins, siblings, and friends lucrative contracts. Money for embezzlement and other personal projects. Who cares about the citizens? The freaking county council - Jonsers included - know that they will get re-elected. Heck - if they blew up the county, they’d still get re-elected. I do, however, have the solution to the traffic problems in Greenville County.

First some background. Property owners should have the right to do what they want with their property. So I am not necessarily against development. The problem is that with development come profits. Developers theoretically are interested in making money - right? That’s nice. I’m all for people earning money. But look at the rest of the picture: the impact a company’s profit making has on people who are un-related to that profit.

People - taxpayers - drive on Woodruff Road. They drive on Roper Mountain Road where another subdivision is going in near Blacks Rd. These taxpayers have a vested interest in the road because they have paid for it. Has the developer from Wisconsin paid for the road? NO. They come in here, build, make money, then leave. They leave behind hundreds of more vehicles to use the same road that was present before those vehicles came. Drivers on that road therefore are forced to use their time and emotional health trying to navigate the same roads that have become over-congested as a result of someone else’s profit.

Why do people have to suffer because someone else wants to make money? I don’t think it’s right. The developers are never held accountable to compensate citizens for the wasting of their lives. This is not right.

The solution then becomes apparent: a developer must pay for the expansion of the roads that they impact. Before they build, they buy land for the buildings AND they buy land to expand the road to handle the additional capacity. That cost is then passed on to the customers through higher sale prices of their subdivided lots.

Traffic is out of control in Greenville. If development is to continue, developers must be REQUIRED to make sure that the surrounding roads are upgraded to absorb the impact of the developer’s profit-making venture.

Injustice for all: Man wrongly charged in wife’s death

Monday, May 19th, 2008

This man should be given as many millions as he demands. The prosecutor should be fired and imprisoned and the freaking police state that has crept in upon us should be reigned in:

Man cleared in wife’s death says he will sue

GREENVILLE, S.C. — An Easley man imprisoned for a year before being cleared in his wife’s death says he plans to sue prosecutors and police.

Circuit Judge Larry Patterson stopped Glen Everett Gibson’s trial Wednesday, ruling there wasn’t enough evidence for prosecutors to continue their case.

On Thursday, Mr. Gibson told WYFF-TV in Greenville that he plans to sue two assistant prosecutors and the Easley Police Department for misconduct and unlawful imprisonment.

Mr. Gibson says he and the judge thought the evidence in the death of his wife, Keri Gillespie, clearly pointed to suicide. Prosecutors argued Mr. Gibson had killed his wife and staged it to look like a suicide.

What’s sad is that we still have enough yahoos around here that think that just because a man is arrested for something means that “There must be a good reason for it.”

This man is one of the lucky ones. Our prisions hold thousand of innocent men and women who have been railroaded by reckless prosecutors.
