Need a good drink? Get one at Sonic… yum

Thursday, May 15th, 2008

This is really disgusting. Kinda makes you think twice about supersizing that combo.

EUNICE, La. — Two fast-food workers at a Sonic eatery in Eunice spit into customers’ drinks, a company representative said.

Several customers at the restaurant said their drinks were spiked with saliva.

“(My daughter) came up here and got a soda and come to find out some girls spit in the drink” father Joe Lawrence said.

A Sonic representative told KFLY-TV that the incident has been investigated and action has been taken.

Sonic said that the former employees at the eatery spit in the drinks, the KFLY report said.

“It was brought to my attention by the manager of the store that the incident was brought to his attention that an employee had spit in a drink of a customer,” Sonic representative Steve Richard said.

Some customers said the incident made them sick to their stomachs.

“That is horrible,” customer Jacquelyn Bourque said. “That is very bad because you really don’t know how long they’ve been doing it.”

Just imagine… stuff like this is going on all over the country. BLAH!

Perverts in perverted California MUST be allowed to marry

Thursday, May 15th, 2008

One more good reason for us to cede California to Mexico: The ultra-liberals on the ultra-left wing California Supreme Court have exceeded their constitutional authority and ruled that perverts in California MUST be allowed to marry. Wahoo, not only do perverts in the USA have the right to live, now they have the is irrelevant to what happens in that state. From the article:

SAN FRANCISCO - In a monumental victory for the gay rights movement, the California Supreme Court overturned a voter-approved ban on gay marriage Thursday in a ruling that would allow same-sex couples in the nation’s biggest state to tie the knot.

Esquire: 75 Skills every man should master

Friday, May 9th, 2008

Esquire has published a list summarizing 75 skills that every man should muster. The list is pretty interesting and is found HERE. I suppose it’s not authoritative, but it should give us all some things to think about. Also, Right Wing News has an addendum with 19 additional skills every man should have. You can read it HERE. Who knows, maybe we can all find something in the list that will help us be better people.

Amazingly, both lists left out “Vote AGAINST John McCain as a suicide voter.”

Kudos to Wal-Mart for keeping prices low!

Thursday, May 8th, 2008

The only thing I disagree with Right Wing Newsassessment of Wal-Mart is that Wal-Mart is for everyone, not just poor people.  Other than that, John Hawkins has a great article HERE.

Pearce, Simcox, Arpaio push for immigration referendum
Supporters of a crackdown on illegal immigration called a press conference May 6 to raise support for a ballot referendum that would require police to help enforce federal immigration laws. Measure would let officers enforce immigration laws
Trying to prod the Legislature into action, state Rep. Russell Pearce on Tuesday rallied immigration hardliners to underscore support for his bill that would let local police officers enforce immigration laws.

May Day’s Left Wing Agenda… and LOYALTY Day? Gimme a Break!

Friday, May 2nd, 2008

I remember when May Day was a foreign holiday. Now, with all the freaking illegals, communists, socialists, and environmentalists, May Day in the USA is now a significant event for radicals of all flavors.

Read more about May Day 2008 HERE.

Read about American Loysalty Day HERE.

Good gravy, can you believe this Loyalty Day B.S.? I’ve never heard of it before. Besides, some of these people think that loyalty to the USA requires blind loyalty to the Federal Government. Sorry, I refuse to consent to the Federal Government as it is now because it is illegal and unConstitutional. Does that mean I’m not loyal? Nope. I am an American who is loyal to The Constitution of the United States of America. It’s not my fault that we have an oppressive, wasteful, and illegal government!

Raid on “compound” triggered by lying phone caller

Saturday, April 19th, 2008

Turns out the raid on the FLDS compound in Texas was based on a caller who made up false abuse claims:

Officials say the Texas Rangers are pursuing Rozita Swinton of Colorado as a “person of interest” regarding telephone calls related to the polygamist compound in Eldorado, Texas.

Colorado Springs police confirmed that on Wednesday they arrested Swinton, 33, at her home.

“This arrest stemmed from an incident that occurred in Colorado Springs in February of this year,” according to a news release from the Colorado Springs Police Department.

During this interesting series of events, we have been eerily reminded of other attempts at government-gone-wild such as “Waco.”  See, the government is using the “Tobacco” approach on restricting human rights to begin attacking religious rights as well. Just as the tobacco industry (and smokers too) generate very little sympathy among the citizens, whacked out and bizarre religious cults are not favored amongst the American public.

I say this to remind you: First it’s your seat belt, then it’s your cigarettes, and before you know it the government will take your house and other property and eliminate your privacy. Just the same with religious rights: First Waco (who cares about those freaks anyway? RIGHT?), next the FLDS, then - before you know it - the “law” is moving in on your church.

That’s right. The government has no business disrupting hundreds of lives because of one phone caller who may or may not be telling the truth. Sure, the FLDS doesn’t really represent anything I approve of, but if we don’t stand up for them, they will be raiding your religious group next.

Las Vegas Ricin Man Arrested

Thursday, April 17th, 2008

He is charged with possession of a biological toxin and two weapons offenses stemming from materials authorities said were found Feb. 26 and Feb. 28 in his room at an extended-stay motel several blocks off the Las Vegas Strip.

Have you read this?? How many laws are there that we don’t know about anyway? “Possession of a biological toxin?” Since when is that a crime? What about the folks who keep weed killer in their garage?  Seems like they possess a biological toxin too! What about people with HIV or AIDS? I suppose they should be arrested too because they possess a biological toxin. Come on! Does the FBI make this stuff up as they need new laws or is everyone in the USA really a criminal?

Chinese Police Escorted Torch in USA

Saturday, April 12th, 2008

I think the torch run in San Fransisco is the first time armed Chinese soldiers have been allowed to perpetrate their violence on American soil. What a shame it is that we did not know that our government allowed these communist thugs to do this. Kudos to Japan and Australia for refusing to allow the Chinese military in their country.

Lack of compassion degrades Conservative ideals

Saturday, April 12th, 2008

The “Bailout Culture” is what Conservatives like Michelle Malkin call it. “If they didn’t want to live on the street, they should have made better decisions,” they say. This sort of reminds me of the over-simplistic folks who say, “If you don’t like the USA then LEAVE!”

Sure, in the USA we have a dearth of personal responsibility. One thing the ultra-right-wing seems to be unable to grasp is the notion of circumstance and compassion.  What do I mean by circumstance? Consider the foreclosure “problem.”  The foreclosure issue has been exaggerated so that it can be used as an issue by Democrat and RINO fascists (who else is running?), but I digress.  We have two types of victims of the foreclosure “problem:” (1) those who lost their shirts by unrestrained speculation in the real estate market. Many of the foreclosures are not on primary residences and therefore should be considered in a different light from (2) those who were merely trying to secure a place to live.

You know and I know that the government is not concerned about the poor and the lower middle class. Our government has become little more than an agent to make sure the wealthy don’t become poor through their unfortunate business activities. Consider Bear Stearnes, the airlines, the Savings and Loans, etc. where only the wealthy were saved through government bailouts. That is exactly what is going on now.  The government is concerned about the super-wealthy who might take some losses through the foreclosure “problem,” and thus is willing to assist them, but there is no genuine interest in the few people who have become homeless as a result.

To those who overextended themselves through poor business practices (the same ones who will get government bailouts), I say “Tough.” They are wealthy and they have taken risks and they have lost. Too bad. Most of them are still wealthy and they will be able to recover in due time.

To those who perhaps made a bad decision in trying to find a place to live, I think they should warrant some assistance.  Take some of these wealthy pseudo-conservatives and give them a $20,000 salary and limited choices in housing and they probably would see my point. These are wealthy elitists who look down their long noses at people, judging them, in situations where they themselves have never been and have no capacity to understand. The truth is that some people truly have become victims of circumstance and should warrant some compassion from the high-lifers like Malkin, Hannity, Limbaugh, Coulter, et al.

As I say this, I am not necessarily promoting any intervention by the Federal Government. I merely suggest that the ultra-right has a lack of compassion on those who are suffering from circumstance and has way too much compassion for their wealthy comrades who may have lost a buck or two in the situation.
