House Republicans to Oppose Amnesty?

Thursday, May 24th, 2007

According to Michelle Malkin, a few Republicans are going to stand against amnesty.  Can this be true?  I thought all the Republicans had gone RINO.  We’ll wait to see the reports from this event to see what really is going on.

Scary: American Twilight Zoninians Incapable of Rational Thought

Thursday, May 24th, 2007

I came across this person who exemplifies what is wrong with America. It’s a My Space blog of a presumed American who has no sense of principle or moral reasoning. I tried to leave a comment, but I couldn’t load the page, so here’s my take on what is alarmingly common thought concerning the illegal alien problem:

Creepy Myspacers with Blogs
Current mood: good

Please say I’m not one of them…the creepy myspacers with a blog…There are some messed up people out there. People who have pimped their myspace accounts with super creepy Jesus pictures where Jesus is bench pressing the cross on his back. People who have modeling pictures, practically nude, wearing bikinis of the american flag. Both of these people are die hard Republicans and the bikini chick is running for governer of Nevada!! And she has alot to say about illegals working in our country. I don’t know if I could vote for somebody who has a whole bunch of web tests on their account (she is 100% conservative and also has pics of Jessica Rabbit on the site). I guess you can be both conservative and nude model. Oh and she has 2,054 friends on the site and the first friend is her! Um, ya….

I agree with Julie up to this point. I don’t go for those freaky Jesus pictures either and I certainly wish people would keep their clothes on. Unfortunately, Julie’s assumption that Republicans are the only freaks on MySpace is tragically flawed.

FYI, I don’t know how I feel about illegals in the country.

Why not? How can someone not have feelings or opinions about the most important issue facing America at this time? This issue effects everything from taxes to public infrastructure to health care to highway safety! Uh Oh, I think she really does know how she feels… here it comes:

Their situation is pretty bad at home–nobody leaves everything and everybody they know to go a new country for the fun of it.

No question about it: Mexico sucks. So does Guatemala, El Salvador, Honduras, Columbia, Ecuador, and virtually every other country in Central and South America. There’s no doubt that these people are invading our nation to benefit themselves economically. They are, however, breaking the law.

A friend of mine who was stationed in Mexico somewhere (not in the military) found a 1.5 year old baby in the streets. His mother had left him there hoping that somebody would find him and be able to take care of him better than she could.

OK. Sad story. I agree. Poverty sucks. Irresponsible desperate people do irresponsible desperate things. Unfortunately, the abandonment of one’s own child is un-natural and inexcusable. American women do this too, by the way.

He took care of that child for the 2 years he was there but then had to leave him with somebody.

That’s very nice for someone to give of himself to care for another. Individuals will always be more compassionate and caring than government.

Tell me that people who have no hope, no way of living, cannot be empathized with.

Well, the woman who abandoned her child should be punished severely. I think I can empathize with those who are poor and suffering. I can understand people feeling hopeless and desperate. I cannot empathize with those who have such disregard for law and order that they would illegally invade another nation rather than attempt lawful immigration. Better yet, why don’t they do something to change their lives? Why not overthrow that piece of crap government they have down there? Why don’t we overthrow the piece of crap government we have in Washington DC?

I don’t think that the people who are so against illegal immigration take into account the human suffering factor–they don’t have to.

I am against illegal immigration. To accuse people like me of failing to consider the suffering of others is groundless and irresponsible. I think we all should be concerned with the plight of others. The problem is that we have 20 million criminals living in our country. They are increasing the suffering of American citizens. To expect us to sacrifice our livelihood, our jobs, our health, and our nation because some people are suffering is unreasonable. The job of our government should primarily be the preservation of the interests of Americans. The invasion of the USA by immigration criminals is devastating our nation. Our government has immigration laws in place so that people can come here legally in a controlled manner that will not put our own citizens in disadvantage.

I don’t know how that translates into policy or solutions, but it is always easier to blame than to understand.

DUH! Why do people like Julie think that people can’t simultaneously blame and understand? Why should criminals not be held responsible for their behavior?

The people who are staunch Republicans and also “Christians” oftentimes do not connect the fabric of their belief systems.

People exist who actually think this way! Being a Christian has nothing to do with enforcing the law! Being a Christian does not demand that we allow our nation and our people to be hurt as the result of desperate people invading our country! Why do you think that being a Christian means that we should support lawlessness? Why do you think being a Christian means that taxes should be taken from us by our government to pay for people who have broken the law? I’m all for helping the poor. I’m all for missionaries going to other countries to help them have better lives. I’m all for legal, responsible immigration! I am not for legitimizing 20 million criminals and their anchor babies so that the American people have to finance the failure of other countries!

And it is very difficult to–Jesus said not to judge others (lest we be judged) and he was all about helping out the lowest common denominators of society, which a that time was the lepers.

Julie, the USA is a nation, not a church. Let Christians help those who need help. Christians should never, however, support criminals who are destroying their society.

Clearly, illegal immigrants are shunned at least in word societally, although 12 million people are working here and doing jobs that Americans don’t want to do.

You really believe that the immigration criminals are doing work that Americans won’t do? How pathetic! What a lie coming from the politically elite! Just because Jorge Bushe would never take a job working in fields does not mean that all Americans would not! Perhaps this statement could be modified: “Illegal aliens are doing jobs that Americans will not do at the same wage” - or - “Illegal aliens are doing jobs that Americans would be doing if the Illegal Aliens were not violating American law by doing American jobs.”

I understand the ramifications of those workers being here and the economics of it. Again, I don’t know the solution,

I know the solution! Secure the borders now! Put minefields, walls, fences, soldiers, and high voltage electric barriers along the border. Keep them out! Those who are here already should be relentlessly pursued just as a rapist, murder, tax evader, or other criminal is pursued. Get these criminals out of this country NOW!

but maybe what I am asking for is consistency between the two sets of beliefs. Be a Republican, be conservative, be a Christian, but for God’s sake, get it together. Don’t claim to be a Christian, then turn your back on people who need you.

Why do you hate Republicans anyway? They are about the same as Democrats! Do you really hate Conservatives? Republicans and Democrats are supporting amnesty. Most of us who are Conservatives and Christians are consistent: we seek to defend our country while seeking to help others at home and in other countries. Compassion does not mean that we should have no regard for law and order. Anarchy and chaos will not help anyone.

Does Julie really believe that Christians should give comfort and solace to child predators? Should Christians give aid and shelter to murderers? Should Christians work to grant amnesty to muggers, lynchers and the like? Christians should work to do good to others and for others, but Christians also have a responsibility to co-exist with the rule of law.

Our nation has NEVER turned its back on those in need. That’s why we have such a liberal and lenient LEGAL immigration policy. That’s why BILLIONS of dollars are ROBBED from our paychecks by the Federal Government and sent to other countries that hate us. That’s why thousands of people volunteer every year to go help those in other countries. Nope. No one has turned their backs on anyone as far as I can tell.

Enforcing the law and preserving our nation is NOT un-Christian!

Maybe this makes me a bleeding-heart liberal humanist, but we already knew that.

This makes you an incredibly ignorant, shallow, unthinking human being, Julie. This makes you a willing, foolish pawn of the Liberal Democrat & RINO machine.

I hope that you change your mind and start working for the good of America. If America is destroyed, who then will work to help the helpless?

A Stand against Political Correctness in New Hampshire

Thursday, May 24th, 2007

It’s good whenever we see representatives stand against the forces of Political Correctness, big government, and state management of citizens:

Seatbelt bill hits bump in the road

By THE ASSOCIATED PRESS

A state Senate committee is recommending against requiring adult drivers in New Hampshire to wear seatbelts.

Members of the Transportation and Interstate Cooperation Committee who voted against the bill this morning said requiring seatbelt use wouldn’t necessarily prompt more people to use them, and that educating drivers about why they should buckle up was a better plan.

Those voting for the requirement said if the bill doesn’t pass, more people will be hurt or killed in New Hampshire crashes.

Illegal Aliens are NOT Immigrants.

Wednesday, May 23rd, 2007

Folks, it’s time to demand of everyone that we talk to, of our senators and representatives, and our traitor-in-chief to recognize that illegal aliens are NOT immigrants.  They are immigration criminals.  They have violated American law by their presence within this country.  Many have compounded their crimes by adding illegal employment, identity theft, and illegally obtaining government services to their list.  They drop anchor babies as soon as they get here so Americans - afraid to split up families of criminals - will not deport them knowing that their anchor babies are citizens.  These people are frauds.  They rape, they murder, they injure. They drive without insurance.  They evade taxes. A small percentage of them are incarcerated, and they have managed to overrun the penal system.  They are bringing diseases, higher taxes for citizens, lower wages, crime and poverty with them.  They are illegal: that means that they are criminals.  They don’t belong here because they came here illegally.

What is an immigrant then? An immigration enters the country legally and according to American law. They are not criminals.

Immigration criminals are on their way to becoming the largest criminal group that is promoted and legitimized by our government.  American citizens are penalized for driving without insurance. American rapists are hunted down and prosecuted. Americans that prey on children are held somewhat accountable.  Are you an American citizen?  Try not paying taxes for a while. Only illegal aliens are immune to taxes. The list goes on and on.  If we give amnesty to immigration criminals, we should extend the same courtesy to all criminals within the USA.

Bush, Dems, and RINOs Sacrificing Our Children to the God of Globalism

Wednesday, May 23rd, 2007

In the name of globalism, open borders, the North American Union, and tolerance for a specially favored group of criminals, our elitist, anti-American traitors such as Bush, the Democrats and the RINOs are allowing sexual predators of American children to get away with their crimes.  Too bad for the children ‘cuz we’ve got to keep those immigration criminals coming in here… we don’t want any rotten lettuce, do we?

YET ANOTHER THING FOR THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT TO SCREW UP!

Tuesday, May 22nd, 2007

Why won’t the criminals and other freaks in Congress just LEAVE US ALONE?  Do they just sit around trying to figure out something to do? Government hasn’t done anything EVER to combat crime, reduce poverty, improve our security, preserve human rights, promote justice or anything else!  What makes Government think that they can solve the SPYWARE problem?  Do these morons think that making a law against something will actually stop it?  TEN YEARS after this freaking law is put into effect, we STILL will be deluged with spyware, malware, spam, viruses, bots, and all the other pests that have yet to be invented. DAMN the House of Representatives!  DAMN the Senate!  These criminals should be hanging from their necks in front of the Capitol, not pretending to govern!

Large Portion of US Muslim Population Geared for Terror

Tuesday, May 22nd, 2007

At least 25% of Islamists that reside in the USA are prone to terror.  Still more sympathize with Al Qaieda, and even more will do nothing to stop Jihad from overtaking the country.

Al AP, the terrorist and Demofascist media outlet has the headline, Some US Muslims justify suicide attacks. We’re not talking about just a few here: we’re talking about hundreds of thousands (about 500,000 or so) of terrorists sitting around, waiting for the right time to kill YOU!  Read the article HERE.

La Raza Given “Say So” on Amnesty Bill

Monday, May 21st, 2007

The radical reconquista group, La Raza was included in the composition of the Amnesty bill and was allowed to veto provisions that they didn’t like.

Also, did you know that the Amnesty bill guarantees a minimum of 400,000 new illegal aliens to legally enter the country every year?

From the article:

Do you know that the Democrats had La Raza and other activist organizations in the negotiations with Republican senators to put this bill together? In other words, they let activist illegal immigration organizations craft the legislation. Can you imagine if Dick Cheney…? Well, he wasn’t in the Senate. Pick a senator. Let’s say Mitch McConnell, putting together a new energy bill, and in there writing it is Big Oil, the CEOs of ExxonMobil and Shell, wherever. Can you imagine? That’s exactly what happened here. So Kennedy knows what’s up here. The ethnic groups that had veto power, if they didn’t like something that they heard, they had the right to veto it, in the negotiations between House and Republican senators. In addition, they plan to allow 400,000 new aliens to come to this country every year who will be on a fast track to legalization. We are not just talking here about legalizing the 12 million or 15 million or whatever the number is. We’re going to now add 400,000 more per year on a fast track, in addition to that number — and each one of them, the 12 million, 15 million who are here, the 400,000 who come each year legally can bring certain members of the family with them, on average at least four.

Pennsylvania Dutch Genetic Blood Diseases

Sunday, May 20th, 2007

This is an interesting article from Al AP about the incidence of rare blood diseases in the Pennsylvania Dutch community.

Blue glow signifies life in peril in Pennsylvania Dutch country

By Helen O’Neill, Associated Press
EAST EARL, Pa. — Across the moonless dark of Lancaster County, where horse-drawn buggies clatter along dusty country roads and many families shun electricity, a strange blue light cuts harshly through the night.

Over the cornfields it beckons, like some otherworldly force, beaming from the bedroom window of a 100-year-old Mennonite farmhouse.

Downstairs, flaxen-haired girls with braids read to younger children … a mother in a traditional long print dress and white organdy cap rocks a slumbering child … a father returning from the fields pulls up a chair to the coal-fired stove.

The scene is bathed in the glow of a single gas lamp.

Upstairs, a baby sleeps in another kind of light, in a very different world.

—–

In the lush, green pastures of Pennsylvania Dutch country, where life revolves around the one-room schoolhouse, the farm and the church, and locals speak a distinctive German dialect, the strange blue lights beam from a handful of homes.

To the Amish and Mennonites they mean one thing — the presence of an extraordinarily rare disease that seems to cruelly target their communities, forcing afflicted children to spend 10 to 12 hours a day, undressed, under lights.

The children suffer from a genetic disorder that causes high levels of a toxin called bilirubin to build up in their bodies, resulting in severe jaundice that, if untreated, causes brain damage and death.

Bilirubin, a natural waste product from worn-out red blood cells, is normally broken down by an enzyme in the liver. If the enzyme is missing, bilirubin can be checked only by the wavelengths of blue lights. Levels must be monitored constantly. Even minor injuries or infections can cause them to rise dramatically.

The disease is Crigler-Najjar syndrome, named for two doctors who identified it 55 years ago. There are about 110 known cases of Crigler’s worldwide, including about 35 in the U.S. About 20 are among the Amish and Mennonite in Pennsylvania.
