WASHINGTON (Reuters) - Democrat Barack Obama has opened an 8-point national lead on Republican John McCain as the U.S. presidential rivals turn their focus to a general election race, according to a Reuters/Zogby poll released on Wednesday.

Obama, who was tied with McCain in a hypothetical head-to-head matchup last month, moved to a 48 percent to 40 percent lead over the Arizona senator in May as he took command of his grueling Democratic presidential duel with rival Hillary Clinton.

Right Wing News has lost all sense of reason! Commenting on the notion that Al Qaeda views Obama as an apostate muslim, and therefore would increase the hostility of terrorists against the US, John Hawkins says:

I do believe that Obama was a Muslim as a child which, since he is not a Muslim now — let me repeat that — SINCE HE IS NOT A MUSLIM NOW — means he is an apostate.

Please note (1) that no evidence exists that Obama HUSSEIN has abandoned Islam and (2) that no evidence exists that Obama HUSSEIN is anything different from Islam.

Sure, he’s a member of a “Christian” church… so what?  You’ve heard what that church believes: is it Christian? CERTAINLY NOT!! In fact Obama’s religious life is ingrained at Trinity Unite Church of Christ and the doctrines they promote are the doctrines of Jihad!!!

So, dear John, your claim that Obama HUSSEIN is NOT a muslim just has no support in the facts.

The sissies over at the National Republican Congressional Committee think they’ve got the solutions for this country. The only problem is that they think that the solution is to act like Democrats. Sorry, but that strategy just will not work.

The USA needs some strong, aggressive leadership to do what’s right. Selling the same solutions as Democrats just makes the Republican Party seem weak, directionless, insecure, and unwilling to lead by principle.

Man cleared in wife’s death says he will sue

GREENVILLE, S.C. — An Easley man imprisoned for a year before being cleared in his wife’s death says he plans to sue prosecutors and police.

Circuit Judge Larry Patterson stopped Glen Everett Gibson’s trial Wednesday, ruling there wasn’t enough evidence for prosecutors to continue their case.

On Thursday, Mr. Gibson told WYFF-TV in Greenville that he plans to sue two assistant prosecutors and the Easley Police Department for misconduct and unlawful imprisonment.

Mr. Gibson says he and the judge thought the evidence in the death of his wife, Keri Gillespie, clearly pointed to suicide. Prosecutors argued Mr. Gibson had killed his wife and staged it to look like a suicide.

What’s sad is that we still have enough yahoos around here that think that just because a man is arrested for something means that “There must be a good reason for it.”

This man is one of the lucky ones. Our prisions hold thousand of innocent men and women who have been railroaded by reckless prosecutors.

The Democrat media is always ready to report on sex scandals when Baptists are involved (such as that minister thug in Plano Texas. Click here to read about it). Those people down there must really be proud of being a part of that man’s church - right? How about the Catholic priests who like having their way with little boys? The media was all over that (though not as excited about it as with the Baptists) and we all knew about it - right? Well, what’s wrong with the Democrat media now? The Los Angeles Government Schools are rampant with high profile sex offenders, yet we really don’t hear about it, do we? From the article:

A major child sex abuse scandal has erupted in the Los Angeles Unified School District (LAUSD). Where’s the national media?

• Steve Thomas Rooney faces 13 felony sex-related counts, including charges that he had unlawful sex with two female students, ages 13 and 14, during the time he was an assistant principal at a middle school. And here’s the kicker: In August 2007 LAUSD assigned Rooney to his job even though it knew that police had investigated him about an alleged sexual relationship with a student at his previous job at a high school. The former high school girl has since testified that Rooney impregnated her. (LAT coverage)
• KNX 1070 Newsradio has reported “21 teachers and administrators have been yanked from schools in the past year because of allegations of inappropriate sexual contact with kids.” Most of the cases happened since only January of this year.
• Two LAUSD administrators face criminal charges for failing to report suspected child abuse by a substitute teacher. Yet LAUSD has sent the pair back to work at school! (LAT)
• During interviews, LAUSD Superintendent David Brewer has often come across utterly uninformed on the scandal. (Listen to this must-hear KNX audio.)
• When LAUSD Deputy Superintendent Ramon Cortines was questioned over the phone about the scandal by KNX reporter Charles Feldman, Cortines became agitated and hung up on Feldman. (Hear the audio.) In discussing the scandal with KNBC-TV in Los Angeles, Cortines defiantly responded, “This is not out of the ordinary for school districts all over the nation. These things happen.“

“These things happen”?!? Hold on. LAUSD has been through this before. In 1986, an LAUSD teacher was sentenced to 44 years in prison on 30 counts that he molested 13 students at 68th Street Elementary in South Los Angeles. Even after years of complaints about the teacher, officials had failed to report the suspected molestations to Los Angeles police. Government schools everywhere are a breeding ground with all sorts of illicit sexual conduct between students, teachers… whatever. In fact, I was told by a father of girls that sexual conduct in the hallways and stairwells is routine at Wade Hampton High School here in Greenville, SC.

Kinda makes you want to keep trusting your children with the government, doesn’t it?

Sen. Barack Obama ripped into a Republican ad today that targets comments made by his wife, Michelle, and called the GOP tactic “low class” and “detestable.”

The Illinois senator told “Good Morning America” that he expects hardball tactics from the Republicans if he becomes the Democratic presidential nominee.

“But I also think these folks should lay off my wife,” he told “GMA” as his wife chuckled beside him.

In a shocking statement, Obama HUSSEIN has declared that the lifestyle of Americans must be approved by foreign countries.

“We can’t drive our SUVs and eat as much as we want and keep our homes on 72 degrees at all times … and then just expect that other countries are going to say OK,” Obama said.

In a shocking betrayal of American sovereignty, the fascist candidate for President says that we must ask other countries what our thermostats should be set at and what kind of cars we drive. Naturally, the assumption is that Obama HUSSEIN can continue to drive HIS SUVs and keep HIS thermostat at whatever he chooses.

The key to decoding the American political elite is to recognize that the rules they propose apply to US and not to THEM. Also, the American fools who vote for the likes of Obama HUSSEIN and Juan McCain are trusting their lives to third world whims from Mexico, Sudan, and Senegal, etc. who have no vested interest in the continued success of the USA.

What I said is true in my opinion: those who vote for Obama HUSSEIN, Mrs. Bill Clinton, or Juan McCain are FOOLS.

CIUDAD JUAREZ, Mexico — Drug cartels are sending a brutal message to police and soldiers in cities across Mexico: Join us or die.

The threat appears in recruiting banners hung across roadsides and in publicly posted death lists. Cops get warnings over their two-way radios. At least four high-ranking police officials were gunned down this month, including Mexico’s acting federal police chief.

Mexico has battled for years to clean up its security forces and win them the public’s respect. But Mexicans generally assume police and even soldiers are corrupt until proven otherwise, and the honest ones lack resources, training and the assurance that their colleagues are watching their backs. Here, the taboo on cop-killing familiar to Americans seems hardly to apply.

Police who take on the cartels feel isolated and vulnerable when they become targets, as did 22 commanders in the border city of Ciudad Juarez when drug traffickers named them on a handwritten death list left at a monument to fallen police this year. It was addressed to “those who still don’t believe” in the power of the cartels.
