Camping defiant, tells media
Judgment Day was invisible.

UPDATE: May 21, 2011
@ 6:05 PM Eastern Time:
NO EARTHQUAKES. NO APOCALYPSE.
We don’t know which side of the international date line will encounter doomsday first, or whether doomsday will rollĀ
across the world’s meridian much like the rolling blackouts in California. One thing is for sure: if you think that the world will end on Saturday, you’ve got a whole lot of loose ends to tie up in a hurry, unless you’ve been working at this for a while.
Suggestions for Doomsday
For example, those who want to read Harold Camping’s book on the end of time
, that will only happen with a next day air order with Amazon.
In short, people everywhere should buy what they’ve always wanted on their credit cards since they know that they won’t be here for the next billing cycle, right? No, that might not be a good idea. In fact, you probably should place your next order with Amazon using standard shipping, not expedited.
Other actions are iffy. If tuition is due on the 20th, do you pay it knowing that the world will end on the next day, or do you wait until the 22nd to see if it is still necessary? All these questions, have no real answer.
Bizarre radio station cult
As SMH reports, a radio station headed by a civil engineer turned Bible numerologist has assigned numerical values to a host of biblical themes and then – based on a Bible timeline that may or may not be accurate – calculated the end of time based on those numbers. This time, the numbers said Doomsday will be on May 21, 2011.
The last time Harold Camping guaranteed the end of the world, Doomsday was to occur between September 15th and 17th in 1994.
That didn’t happen. What if it doesn’t happen this time either?
Goodbye letter
Apparently the doomsday founder, Harold Camping, doesn’t believe his own prophecy. According to KMBC, a goodbye letter from the cult leader exhorted his followers to keep on standing with the radio station.
Meanwhile, some employees are questioning the meaning of Harold Camping’s goodbye letter sent to the Family Radio mailing list last week. While he says farewell, he encourages employees to “steadfastly continue to stand with us to proclaim the Gospel through Family Radio.”
Why would the radio station be needed after May 21? The answer to that question is anyone’s guess, but you might want to have a contingency plan just in case doomsday doesn’t materialize.
Hedging bets
CNN reported that many Family Radio staffers are planning on working a normal schedule through the weekend and into next week. In fact, one receptionist told the ultra-leftwing news outlet that she didn’t even believe in the apocalyptic prediction.
As for Camping, he has not taken the lead in selling his possessions that include a number of houses and possibly a doomsday bunker. Some who follow the soon-to-be 90 cult leader have not only sold their possessions to take a camper caravan tour of the United States, but some have taken their message to Australia and beyond, on their own dime.
A famous Fox News story documented how one man took his life savings and bought doomsday advertisements in the New York City mass transit system.
Back at the radio station, however, the schedule remains unchanged and everything from taxes to fundraising is still moving forward as planned.
Get right with God
Most people recognize that this bizarre doomsday circus is the work of either a sinister deceiver or a complete whackjob. Either way, the Family Radio cult has apparently ensnared thousands and threatens to disillusion many as the world stands ready to mock them all on May 22.
Still, it wouldn’t hurt to get right with God, would it? Just because a cult is making a spectacle of itself and its supposed belief in God does not mean that there is no truth in the Word of God. Nobody knows the date and time of Jesus’ return. In fact, He’s coming like a thief in the night, at a time when no one really expects Him. Repent and turn to God today. Believe on the name of Jesus, God’s Son and you’ll never have to worry about doomsday freaks trying to ruin your day.
See ya on May 22!

Matthew 24:24 (New International Version)
24 For false messiahs and false prophets will appear and perform great signs and wonders to deceive, if possible, even the elect.
Mark 13:22 (New International Version)
22 For false messiahs and false prophets will appear and perform signs and wonders to deceive, if possible, even the elect.
The enemy is always looking for a way to discredit God and or hurt his believers.
When you twist, manipulate, misinterpret or out right falsify the word of God you serve the enemy.
The Holy Spirit is the one and only true teacher. Prayer and reading the Word personally is the way to understanding.
Sadly too many Christians or people who may be considering Christ as their personal Saviour are waiting for a Priest, Pastor, Minister etc to explain the Word to them.
These people can be deceived.
